THE ROLLING STONES "A BIGGER BANG" TOUR 2006
I could not believe how much energy the 63 year old Mick had, age is really nothing but a number. Mick was absolutely on fire last night, about 2 seconds into JJF he was airborne and it just continued to get better as the show went on! I had pretty good seats; up on the balcony but still pretty good.

The setlist was pretty fanfuckingtastic:
1. Jumping Jack Flash - freakin awesome start to the show, the entire place was roaring, Keith and Ronnie's guitars were killer and Mick was absolutely going nuts.
2. Let's Spend the Night Together - The crowd really loved this one. Mick thanked us all for coming out on a "Fuc*ing cold night "
3. Rough Justice - This one was played extremely well.
4. It's Only Rock n Roll - Keith was insane. He was literally running back and forth on both sides of the stage, just being Keith.
5.Rocks Off - I always get hyper when I hear this song.
6. Memory Motel - Awesome version with Mick and Keith alternating on the singing. One of my top 10 Stones song.
7. Rain Fall Down - Great funky song, it's just AWESOME live.
8.Tumbling Dice - I love this song, fantastic version with the crowd being super in to it.
9.Gimme Shelter - All I can say is DAAAAAAMN, they took the house down with this one, and Lisa's solo was just tearing the place apart, she was just on fire. Mick just went spastic.
10.This Place is Empty - Sweet song by Keith.
11. Happy - Never get tired of this, good song.
12. Miss You - BEST VERSION I'VE EVER HEARD.
13. You Got Me Rocking - Not many like this one I've noticed, but the crowd did and as did I. It was great seeing all them boys interacting with each other and it was obvious the crowd just made them MORE. Mick was shaking maracas and I thought that was so cute.
14. Get Off My Cloud - EVERYONE sang along. Good stuff.
15. Honky Tonk Woman - The crowd loved this one, everyone stood and danced. Great Stones classic.
16.Sympathy for the Devil - No words.
17.Paint It Black - I felt spit on my face cuz everyone was singing along to this one. Always a crowd fave.
18. Start Me Up - One of my top 10! REALLY really good version. I was just all over the place, and so was Mick haaaa, & Keith and Ronnie were killer on the geeetars.
19.Brown Sugar - Another crowd fave, Mick was just feeding the crowd.
20. You Can't Always Get What You Want - Another crowd sing-a-long, it was just fantastic. Wish I had a lighter.
21. Satisfaction - THE MOST loud. The guys totally gave it all in this one, Mick just going insane, running and dancing and his infamous armt twirly thing. Confetti started to fly around, and this totally wicked awesome night came to an end.

I'll probably never get the chance to see them again, nonetheless afford them. I'm so happy I got to see the Stones. They sure do throw a kickass performance that'll leave you breathless and a true fan. If they're in your neck of the woods, you should def. go see them- you don't know how long they'll stick around. |
